Capcom has found a new way to piss on Mega Man fans.

I honestly don’t know what’s worse, this insult to people who have given Capcom hundreds of dollars and hours of their time over the last decade and more, or those who think it’s funny to add to the insult by saying Mega Man fans should just ‘deal with it’ and that it’s a ‘joke.’

To me, it’s not a joke. It’s extremely hurtful and it furthers my idea to never buy from Capcom again.

Honestly the Megaman they picked here is hilarious
I feel like people whined so much they decided to put this megaman in for retaliation, and Capcom was like “YOU WANT MEGAMAN? I’LL GIVE YOU MEGAMAN”

honestly it’s fantastic if you find it funny. that’s what it is - it’s a joke. it’s like playing adam west’s batman in arkham asylum.

Very much this. If anything I think this is more of a friendly continuity nod from Capcom than them “insulting” their fans. Besides, Quirky Boxart Megamen the world over need a little more love.

So I guess everyone forgot that Bad Box Art Mega Man was going to be in Mega Man Universe, which Inafune was directly working on? And that Inafune himself is okay with this?

Really the only people who are pissed off about this are the ones who think they know what Mega Man should be. This isn’t any worse than than anything else Capcom has done and if anything this just pays tribute to how far Mega Man has come as a character and a franchise.

I hope Captain N Mega Man is a palette swap for this guy.
